The worms will be capable of consuming that much after they have settled in not when you first get them. For the first week or so feed very sparingly. They need time to adjust and adapt to the new environment. Start slowly and monitor their ability to consume what you put in. Remember they don't eat the food per say but the microorganisims and other bin inhabitants.

Thank you Bill! They arrived on Thursday, and seem like happy little campers in their new bed. I've fed about a 1/2 to 2/3 of a cup of food and some coffee grounds mix in. Looked in today and a few worms are in the food so guess they are going to settle in fine. Will keep close eye on them to see how and when they need more food.
