Too bad... nobody in my city...

They might just be very quietly keeping worms. Where are you near? You don't put your zone so I couldn't guess.

My area, NYC, Brooklyn in particular, had a bunch of people. Funny that people with LESS room, some with no gardens would be doing this, and people with acres all across the country, don't.

I guess because they can just have the regular Compost Pile outdoors. Worms will eventually come there too and won't cost them anything.

I just recently found this site too and really enjoy it. We have two outdoor compost tumblers (dual drum and a homemade one) and a bunch of worm bins. We live about 45 miles ENE of San Francisco, CA. I think that there are a LOT more vermicomposters out there but they just don't know about that site yet.

I have a small garden in New York, I could have just a plain compost bin outside, but I have always found the red wiglers worms so much better and more fun

We LOVE vermicomposting! So do our daughters. We need our compost tumblers though too because we have a lot of yard trimmings, etc.

I do hope more people catch on to that other site too so that we can get some more active conversations going.
