There may be an advantage to using blue worms. Is this an outdoor bin, or is it indoors where you can regulate the temperature? Blue worms reproduce like crazy and they can't survive a cold winter. If your bin is outdoors, I'd go with blue worms. If it is indoors, there really isn't any advantage to using them.

I'm curious also. Where can I buy blue worms?

From what I have read blue worms die at tempertures below 50 degrees F. If this is true most of Florida goes below 50 degrees at night at some point in the winter.
