Your brother is putting his ignorance of worms on display. Earthworms do not eat other worms. All worms eat the same thing, the microherd that grows on rotting organic matter. The only differnece is in where they prefer to live in the soil, some on top, some down deep. On the other hand, an earthworm will do much better in your garden than in a bin.
