Collecting Wisteria seeds

Hey all, I was reading on collecting wisteria seeds and one article said to wait until the pods dry on the vines and then collect them, cut them open and get the seeds, and another article said to wait for the vine to flower, cut a cluster and place in a paper bag to dry for a few days and then place the entire cluster in a zip lock bag (I thought that was bad for seeds?) and not to cut the pods open and get the seeds until the following spring when you are ready to plant them. What should I do? Thanks for your help
