In the past I had excellent success with spraying my pepper leaves with a mixture of buttermilk and cayenne to ward off deer. Only lasted a week, though and then I had to re-spray. The cayenne tended to clog some sprayers, however.

This year I had some damage from ground squirrels, the same mixture stopped them cold, so far that is.

Don't know specifically about pepper wax or bunnies, but I imagine the principle is he same.

No it doesn't work. Neither does garlic/pepper spray. Or fox or bobcat urine. Or human urine. Or moth balls. Or corn cobs dipped in vinegar. Or any Jerry Baker type wives tale solutions. None of them stop hungry rabbits.

There are only two solutions:

A gun
A GOOD fence

How did you get it strained to go through the sprayer? Or was your method of preparing the hot sauce one that did not cause sediment? Just sprinkling the Cayenne directly on and around the plants has worked but is time consuming and hubby would like a liquid he could spray on. So far, everything is too coarse for the sprayers.
