I alternate my feeding site.
I pocket feed and I go counterclockwise around my bin.
My Africans seem to be ok with it and follow me around the bin but my wigglers are not coming to any food i put in regardless of where I put it...I think I overfed when I started and they dont need new food OR its adolesence.

Doesnt really matter that much as long as you make sure that they have eaten it all before placing any more in the bed. Even better to wait a day after they have eaten it all!

I alternate with no set system--just find a clear spot. It's easier to cover the food well when you find a fresh place without other things left from the last feeding. Covering the food keeps fruit flies down. The subsequent feedings can start to decompose, getting ready for the worms, while they are finishing off the last feeding. (Hope that makes sense.)

Thank you all for the replies. I'm really enjoying worm composting. I requested the book "Worms Eat My Garbage" at the library yesterday. I'm interested in gaining as much knowledge as possible on this subject. Thanks again everyone. I look forward to using this site as a learning tool.

Hey roundrocktx, how are those worms doing? I'm the "gentleman" who got you started on this life-altering endeavor of tending to a bunch of worms.

If you're like most folks I know, you'll become so wrapped up in them, and what they do, you'll begin thinking about all kinds of other things that'll make a difference on this little marble.

The worms are doing fine. I'm reading everything I can get my hands on including the archives on this forum. I'm really enjoying the worms. They are doing fine and living in my kitchen.. Wife was okay with that. I thought chuckiebtoo was probabaly you.
