This is my second summer mulching the rose bed with grass clippings. I have noticed a definite increase in the earthworms in the garden. So many that the worms have attracted an opossum which mines the garden for worms nightly.

oh no! I have opossoms in my area, don't tell me they will dig up the garden???

Well, this one nearly dug up two rose bushes, so we trapped him and called the Humane Society who "said" they released it in a natural area. I wouldn't worry unless you see holes dug, and even then you can just fill them in, but when it comes to whole bushes dug up, we had to draw the line.
