questions about Carolina Jasmine??

I was ignorant to plant Carolina Jasmine without paying attention to its growing height, thinking of vine like clematis with short vines. So, it has grown and wrapped itself around with a tomato cage and the tree next to it, because there is no fence around. The adjacent tree has been pulled and pulled by the jasmine. I am thinking of relocate the jasmine to climb the 8-feet high by 12 feet wide pergola.

Questions:
1. Will there be new vine growth, after I cut the plant short enough to carry it to the new location?

2. Can I transplant it into a huge pot instead of ground?

3. I am also concerned about toxin from its nectar (just learned it somewhere online). Is it really bad enough to kill bees?

Thanks
