if that doesn't live, try a tip cutting- cut just below a node at a bit of an angle three leaves back, then remove the largest leaf and the leaf at the node itself. dip in rootone and stick in fresh potting soil,

Does it have little 'potatoes' all along the stem? The one I have does, and each and every one of those darned 'potatoes' makes a new vine next year...
