ready to harvest? Ok to let dry?

I think I need to harvest the castings from my worm bin (much of the original bedding is gone). However, the bed I want to use the castings in is not ready.

Can I store the castings? Is it ok to let the castings dry out? What's the best way to store the castings and for how long?
