There is no cultivar 'blue denim'...it is a marketing name that a couple of e-bayers used a few years ago , nothing more...although unfortunately found it's way into a well known plant database and although I did what I could to get it removed...the 'professional' staff decided to keep it in there......

What I see in the photos you posted is Ipomoea purpurea.

The large closeup of the light blue bloom is very interesting and is clearly the flaked strain.

The purple bloom is also flaked (in my opinion) but not so much obviously so...

I think it likely that you have more than 1 plant growing in the same 'general area'...although the painted blue wood around and on the the lattice (where the lighter blooms are) is definitely different than the unpainted wood behind the purple bloom...

I'd be very interested in trading for some seeds collected directly and most definitively off of the plant with the light blue blooms...you should really tag those...

Thanks for your response and clarifications.

To my eyes, both vines have the same color. That was what caught my attention in the first place, besides they're beautifully toned flowers.
I assume the blue vine originated from the purple vine site. As normally nothing grows in the "blue" site but weeds. But I'll check the "blue" vine tomorrow, as it is too late now.

Here are some photos of the "purple" vine, taken this morning.

I tagged them by mistake (You can see the piece of twine), believing this was the vine you were asking seeds from.
I've noticed white "dots" on the flowers.

I'm posting some photos I took this morning.

I'm not sure what the 'real' color is , as seen by the human eye , but the latest set does seem to be a bit more on the purple side , especially the last photo which I would say is purple , although the photo right above it , the bloom looks to be blue (!?)...

The latest set of photos also shows the star pattern along the primary folds as more of a reddish color as compared to the previous photos where the star pattern looks to be more in the purple-violet range...I like them both (!)

I definitely like the wide areas of the diluted color which is mainly what the flaked genes do...i.e., dilute the color in different patterns like dots, dashes, and sections / sectors , etc,...

The flowers on both vines are definitely purple. The blue is the camera.
The vine you like has a fuchsia star, the other one ( the unpainted fence) has a dark purple star. The flowers on both vine have the same size.
The difference between them is stem size.
The one you like has a thick & hairy stem, and it's leaves are coarse, compared to the one with the purple star.
