Yet another unknown MG

I noticed this one today and don't know what it is either. At first it looks white but when you get close it's really a very pale blue with the purplish star. I can only ID about half the MG's that I planted. The blooming part of the vine ends up several feet away from where it was planted and marked or I lost the tags all together.

Thanks,

Karyn

Karyn - That is actually an Ipomoea purpurea that comers out of the flaked strain...

It's been called "Jamie Lynn"...

It can be mostly white or a relatively pale blue with some fuchia in and extending out of the throat...

Thanks Ron,
I do have some blue flaked MG's and some are in the same area. Could that possibly be on the same plant as the regular blue flaked blooms or are all the blooms on that particular plant the pale color?

Karyn - Actually the case can be both...there are plants that produce only the dilut blue or white but I've seen the dilute with no stripes or flakes appear on a striped shibori vine that I had...
