Vine ID Assistance Requested

I have a very prolific vine that I believe I winter sowed this year growing throughout one of my flower beds and up everything within reach. I do not have a picture of it so I will try to be as descriptive as possible. If it is something that I intentionally planted, it would be some kind of flower-but I think that it was probably a stray seed received in a trade.

The leaves of the vine greatly resemble cucumber or pumpkin leaves. The vine produces thin, wrapping tendrils that it uses to attach to everything else. Very small whitish flowers appear (about the size of alyssum flowers)then after they disappear a fuzzy/spikey "fruit" for want of a better word, appears. This fruit thing resembles a cactus. Right now, it's about the circumfrence of a quarter. There are four "petals" around the outside with another "petal" in the middle (picture the way a daffodil is shaped)though it looks like more of the petal like appendages will form on the back side.

I've been searching online for about an hour and a half and can't find anything that comes close. Does anyone out there have any ideas?
