I have a worm factory stackable unit, same as a Can-O-Worms but square. I have had it for a few weeks and everything is going great. The one minor hassle / issue is restacking shredded newspaper on top of the new food. With the mix of current food and casting it is not as smooth as I would hope.

Here is my thought, what if I add an additional bin now with damp shredded newspaper and use it as the lid vs putting the newspaper right on top of the food. My thought is red wigglers like to be on top so this makes it easier. Also, when I add the new batch of food it will be much easier to see what is eaten and what is not.

I know as I add food to the first bin eventually the second bin with touch the first and they will start to climb up but that is easily a 4-6 weeks away. And when it does happen I could use one of my other trays and still continue this process.
