Please help identify vine

I was recently visiting a farm in Southern Ontario, Georgian Bay region, and noticed this vine, fighting with wild grape vines for control of trees, fencelines, etc.

I noticed from a dozen or so observations that this vine was growing only where the wild grape vines grew, and not on it's own. Not 100% sure of this, but only noticed it where grape vines grew, or remnants of grape vines, as this vine took control

I have posted a pictures, at the link below or:

picture taken 10/07/2005.

The berries are smooth on the bottom, not like blueberries.

The vine attaches via curly threads, not suckers.

Any help greatly appreciated, or if anyone needs more info please let me know.

Thanks,

Andy
