I put cooked food into my worm bins all the time (indoor bins), as well as into my outdoor composting bins. I don't see much of a difference between cooked and raw foods. Either way, I make sure to bury the food beneath a couple inches of bedding, and I try to avoid too much fat, dairy, or meat. I often scrape plates right into the worm bin. A tablespoon of mac-and-cheese, a few french fries, or a left-over bite of hamburger will go into my bin, but NOT a pile of greasy fries or 2 cups of used cooking oil, NOT an entire left-over hamburger, and not a whole jar of out-of-date tartar sauce. The smaller and mushier the pieces, the sooner the worms can break them down. In my experience, everything rots. The goal is to make them available to bacteria/mold/worms, but not flies or other pests.
