Anybody know what this vine is?

I found this growing in an old pot in my backyard that still had potting soil in it. The vine had started to climb a bit on the side of the house. I'm very curious to know what this could be.

This looks like a vine I am trying to identify also and it was given to me by a friend who called it monkey balls vine! I am looking for a proper botanical name so I can learn growing conditions, ect.

Air potato aka monkey ball vine, botanically known as Dioscorea bulbifera - is a terribly invasive vine in warmer climates - plant with care.

I didn't see any flowers until yesterday. Now, I've noticed a few small purple flowers.

I'm also thinking some type of morning glory. A pic of the flowers would definitely help. The I. purpureas I've seen have blooms at least a couple inches across. Air potato blooms are tiny and white and like the previous poster mentioned can be horribly invasive.
