Brandywine problem

My husband asks for Brandywine and Green Zebra every year, but I'm too lazy to start seedlings myself and just plant what I can find. This year I found both, but it's been a few years since I have grown Brandywine. The seedling that I bought was a potato leaf plant. It was planted in early or mid April and is now 6-7' tall. There is an Arkansas Traveler planted at the same time on one side that is about a foot shorter and starting to color up its lowest cluster of fruit. There is a Big Beef on the other side that is about 6" shorter and carrying fruit from bottom to top. Brandywine, sadly enough, is blooming exuberantly with big yellow flowers but has yet to set a single fruit.

Would spraying it with that fruit setting hormone work (provided that I can find it in the local nurseries) or cutting off the top help? Or should I just yank it and put in a late season tomato (southern California). I've got very limited gardening space and I hate wasting it on a non-performer.
