Some friends of mine had a bull housed at their farm for a while this summer. His quarters were an old bulk silo which has basically been converted to a giant garage with a concrete floor. After he went off to his newly refurbished home this fall the pen never got cleaned out because it was firewood time.

Last weekend I was there and a few of us were in the pen and decided to dump the big rubbermaid water tub because it was freezing. We did so and in the process washed the hay and top layer of manure off the pad. What was left was a giant worm carpet! I mean seriously, you couldn't have taken a step there without squashing at least a dozen and probably more. If anyone had needed a wormbin setup there, they would have been all set!
