That is hard to say. It is like asking how many people equal 10000 lbs.
The general rule is 1000 to the lb.
However that is adult breeders if we are talking baby's I would put the figure over 3000.

So 1000 worms = 1lb is that what your telling me?

It depends on the size of the worms. What I am saying is that if you have a mix of juveniles and adults, 1 lb of EFs will be about 1000 worms. If you have all adults, or a different species, the number will be closer to 600 to 800 worms.

1000 is a common guestimate. even if it was off it should not matter for most ... do 1000 worms consume more material than 950? in theory maybe they do but unless you are talking about a really tightly monitored system how would you know?
