Greetings! I have a few questions I hope some of you can help me with.

First, I had a dickens of a time getting red worms for vermicomposting last summer. Too many orders delayed or back ordered.

Ok, in Western Massachusetts, WHEN is the best time to order or secure red worms in spring? March? April? May?

I would appreciate any and all info and opinions at present.

Also, I ordered my worms via Garden's Alive-after several tries and delays from their supplier, i got my worms. I tried one more local supplier (in Enfield, CT), but I could never connect with him and he did not return my emails or calls.

Can anyone recommend a local supplier (local to Western Massachusetts)...or suggest one or two mail order suppliers that are more dependable? Also, please note I do not like to order over the Internet (I do not place my credit card number on the web due to identity theft concerns).
