Does it make really tall blooms?

I don't remember seeing any blooms on it. But it has grown that tall in only a week. It is very hard to pull up due to the roots going so deep.

Search pics of bahiagrass and see if that's your guy. Hesitant to suggest that though if you haven't seen blooms. They bloom so fast even the "good yards" around here get full of the tall flowers sometimes. The seeds form apparently overnight and get all over your legs, shoes, pants, feet...

Ok thanks! I will certainly look it up. I think i will just leave a clump of this stuff un mowed and see if it blooms anything. I will post a picture of it after that. Thanks again!

What it is: A weedy grass.

The remedy: Get rid it before it blooms.

Possible ways to get rid of it:
1. Dig and repeat as needed
2. Use a weedkiller for grass as spot applications to the clump, and any others of the same kind, then repeat as needed.
