We inherited a garden full of mugwort from the previous owner. For the past few years I have been digging it up by hand but it always seems to come back. So this year I sprayed roundup carefully on the leaves when the new growth showed up.

Now 3 days after the roundup treatment, all the top growth of mugwort has shriveled up and turned yellow. Do you think I can now plant flowers and other things on it? Is the root still alive? Will it sprout again in a few weeks?
