Sorry to here that Elaine. I bought her first book on your recomendation to be honest I haven't read it yet but I promise you as soon as I finish the book I'm reading now I will read hers. Was she very old? I haven't read Rachel Carson's book either. But since I have Sarah Steins book I will definatly read it. Sorry about that. Sarah

The Wild Ones organization has some information on Sara Stein; an introduction and a link to "A Conversation with Sara Stein". It seems quite appropiate that she is sitting on an Aldo Leopold bench for the conversation. It is comforting to know that her message will live on through her books.
