These are all around the edges of my lawn, some scatterings in other spots as well. It's obviously grass that is seeding, but I don't think it is crabgrass because it's only mid-late April here in NY, I thought crabgrass seeds much much later in the year...

And it's not quackgrass because that seeds much different than this from what I remember last year...

I'll be happy if it is turf-type tall fescue because that's what I planted all last year, but I thought it needs to grow tall to be able to seed itself....

So, any ideas what grass is producing all these seeds? I mowed close & bagged it all so it wouldn't spread, but still annoying...
