determinate question

During the last week of May, I transplanted my seed-grown tomatoes outside. I have three different types of heirloom determinates and two indeterminates. This week they all have flowers but the plants are barely 15-18" tall. The patio orange seem the sturdiest with nice thick stems and some small fruits started. But the other two determinate types don't seem robust enough for fruit, and they seem so short. I am used to store-bought transplants (indeterminates) which are taller when they flower. Is a 15" determinate too small to bear fruit, or should I be pinching the blossoms? Will it grow any taller and how long will it produce? I am concerned that if they flower and have fruit this early and at this small size, that they may be done by the end of July.
