Here is the ID Noxious Weed site. It's not listed, but you may want to contact your local County Weed Board/Extension office or Idaho Forestry Service and inquire...it may be on a Monitor List as a potential noxious weed.

Thanks Vera. I work in a county extension office and work closely with our county weeds supervisor. This plant is not on anyone's radar here. I would like to make people more aware of its invasive potential, but first I wanted to know if people in other places have had experience with it as an escape.

Well here in eastern WA (Spokane area) I've not seen any serious populations of escapees and it's not on our Noxious weed list. The latest shrub added on ours was the Butterfly Bush (Buddleia davidii)...so sad!
