A coyote travel through my backyard regularly. I have been observing him for the past 6 months or so. At first I thought he or she was quite large, but recently I notice that it appeared to be shrinking. I am guessing that much of their bulk is actually fur. The animal is actually pretty small.

The coyote had an encounter with the neighbor's dog today. Since the dog is much larger, the coyote ran away.

I also notice a cat traveling through my yard. It does not appear to be a stray since it stop coming to my yard during the winter (no doubt the owner kept it indoor during winter). One of these days, the cat will get eaten and the owner will blame the coyote.
