is this a weed?

hi all
I have 2 types of plants that I am unsure if they are a weed or not. Here is #1: This broadleafed plant grew very quickly in a bed of hostas. The prior owner had previously planted some bulbs but I am not sure what she planted. I am not sure if this is a weed but it is huge. Each leaf is the length of my forearm (I am 5'10".) There are multiple stems coming out of the base similar to a palm with pinkish tint to the green stems. There are not flowers yet.
Anyway, any help would be great. I can take more pictures :)
