plant with tiny yellow flowers?

20 years ago

I'm trying to find out what kind of plant we have that has tiny yellow flowers? The plant is green and is a very very soft plant... like really soft and pliable. It's about 12" tall.

I've been told its some kind of weed that sends shoots off here and there.

We love it, and would like to plant it as a border plant.
