plant that almost resembles marijuana???

This is our first spring in our new house. I was pulling some weeds and came across what looked like weed. I found a huge bush far up the hill that I cant get to but there is smaller ones growing now. When they are just poping up they have a light red tint as they become bigger they are just a normal green. Anyone have a clue I took some pics off my phone. please and thank you

Talk about a marijuana look alike...my company did an interior planting around a "tropical-looking" pool. We had palms, etc and a bunch of indoor stuff (indoor here in KS). The false aralia leaves kept disappearing and we thought that we had some kind of caterpillar or varmit taking them, but finally figured out that the varmits were the motel guests...hope they didn't get sick.
