I use the store bought "cheapie" cages for deter and dwarf plants. The large size works great for determinates and the small size works great for dwarves.

A 5' stake handles determinate varieties well. So does a Florida weave, cattle panel, or even sprawl with a heavy straw mulch. Or you can just use the CRW cages on all regardless of their type.

I read one person actually liked to use the cheap hoop cages but upside down. They cut out the wires that normally go into the dirt and use it to fasten it to the ground on the large hoop. They said they where actually quite stable.
