Upper one -- perhaps Phytolacca sp., pokeweed.

Thank you. The local cooperative extension also said pokeweed for the first.

The second "weed" I found growing in a pot where I tried to grow herbs the year before. I thought it kind of looked like sage, but I was told that sage had fuzzier leaves. But then, the cooperative extension thought it could be salvia "blue victoria" which, I gather is a sage. Are the leaves on that plant less furry than other sages? Does anyone else think the plant could be this salvia? I can always wait to see how it blooms to be more certain!
