Crabgrass -- am I crazy?

Okay, so crabgrass dies with the first frost, right? How about dumping a bunch of ice on it? Or is there some kind of freezing spray, like a dry ice spray? I just have it at the edges of my yard, trying to creep in, so I wouldn't have to do that big of an area. What do you think -- am I crazy?

Makes more sense to get a weed torch and fry it out of there. Annual weeds are fun to control with a weed torch.

Well, but it costs more, too. And I'd end up killing the grass as well, wouldn't I? Crabgrass isn't like a dandelion that you can isolate and burn. Anyway, is there any way my idea could work?

No....just pull it up if it's not that big an area. Next year use a crabgrass selective preemergent herbacide to keep any seed from germinating period.
