Found a plant in spring that resembled Nicotiana coming up. Within a month it was huge. It seems to grow from a taproot but the main root isn't very long. It is thick and there are many thick round brown roots 3-4" long coming from the main one. Where this main root is where the leaves come up from. There is no stem. Each leaf is about 17" long and grow upright from the root system. The leaves start out about 1" across from the root and grow about an inch in girth until the middle (the fattest part) at 7". Then it becomes narrower to the tip and into a point. The leaves are a light yellowy-green and the underside is lighter and silvery. It has smooth even margins and a thick vein down the middle of each leaf that also gets skinnier as it goes up. The vien are very light color and have smaller opposit veins branching off the main vein (so to speak)lol. These lead to smaller branching veins. The leaves are covered with small white hairs barely visible but the main thing that stood out was that they are covered in tiny black flies that got trapped on the leaves. The leaves are sort of stretchy and thin. Stem has clear juice in it and the smell reminds me of Nightshade (if you ever smelled that). The whole thing kinda smells unpleasent. Sorry I can't post a pic but I really want to know what this. It may be a weed or something that I planted. It was growing in sun-pt. shade, moist area. Seems to be the only one around here.
