-I have the room for it and another favorite, mullen, that many find a huge trouble, but i see it as a good luck plant and a fascinating traveler. (not at all invasive where i am)...but i have many acres for these lovelies.

Looks like poison hemlock, Conium maculatum.

It is definitely not Angelica. (Angelica archangelica). The flowers and foliage are totally different.

It could well be Conium maculatum and if there is the slightest doubt do not eat it.

The best ID conclusion is to search and ask...then take a cutting to your coop extension for another opinion...
Mine was ID'd as Angelica but i don't intend to consume it...
So many look-a-likes in the plant world.

I agree, its Poison Hemlock. The Stem is Spotted, just like it says on wikipedia. I wont eat it, but I do like it.... It also said its the plant that killed Socrates.

sleevendog - if your plant was identified as Angelica it is either a different plant from the OP's or the extension service was mistaken. Just look up Angelica and you'll see it's very different.

Another vote for hemlock from me.
