I still have a few pokeweeds on my property, but NO way near as many as I had when I first moved in. I don't use any poisons either. My best results have come from pulling out the plant from the roots, as deeply as I possibly can. They may come back, but you will find them smaller and smaller, until they are gone. Just keep up with them, so they don't get to be monsters, and try not to let them grow berries. But there IS hope - and they will give up and go away.
