How to kill lemongrass/palmarosa

Hi all,

I've got what looks like a lemongrass or a relative of it growing near pool equipment and I don't want it there. Hubby worked hard to get most of it cut, but I now want to destroy the entire root system. Digging it up is not really an option as there are space issues.

Is there anything I can sprinkle or spray on to finish off this plant?

What is often used in such a situation is to paint the freshly cut stems of the unwanted plant with a herbicide containing glyphosate (Roundup and many others). Only a tiny amount is needed. It will act systemically to travel down to the roots and control the plant. The label will explain rates etc.
