sticker weeds

I have these sticker weeds all over my yard. The weed has little yellow flower lookin things on them. I have no idea how to get rid of them. All the weed killer I have looked at wont kill them the only thing that I have found that might work will kill my grass to and I would have to get new top soil and plant new grass. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of them?

What condition is your soil in?
How much humus is in the soil?
I have found that these grow in soils that have very little soil organic matter, and the best cure is to add lots of organic matter to the soil.
