Whether this variegated ivy is a "weed" or not depends on you. If you think of it as a desirable plant it is that. If you think of this plant as an unwanted plant growing where you don't want it growing it is a "weed".

It looks like coyote melon (or coyote gourd)

Makes a decent ground cover for really harsh spots.
