Stringy weed

I have a really strange weed growing in my pots in one section of my greenhouse. It looks just like a thin yellow string and vines like crazy. It wraps around the plants and forms a small bloom that resembles a berry. It is very fragile and easy to pull, but I cannot totally get rid of it. I actually cannot find where it goes into the soil, it just appears on the top part of the plants. It is possible that it is a fungus or parasite???? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Does it have leaves or just the twining yellow strings? It sounds like it could be a species of dodder which is a parasitic non-photosynthesizing plant. It's related to morning glories, but don't let that stop you; keep pulling it as soon as it appears. Some people advocate throwing away any affected plants because it can keep coming back from it's roots and spreads easily to other containers by it's seed.
