Don't know what this is, but can't wait for someone to ID. Looks like a hirsute (coarsely hairy) form of English ivy (but isn't). Interesting.
Where are you located? Is this plant deciduous? Any flower or fruit? More info if you can.

Can you please provide a photo showing mature leaves and flowers and/or fruit? Your location will help narrow it down. It appears to be something in Cucurbitaceae, and possibly Cucurbita foetidissima which makes large tubers like that.

Why is the location important? Because certain species may be common in the western areas of the US while others might be in the mid-west or eastern part of the states, or in Florida.
