Viburnams--Do berries have to freeze?

I purchased a Blue Muffin Viburnam this spring and have been on the hunt to find another kind that will flower at the same time. However, I keep reading that the birds eat the berries after they freeze. The temps where I am rarely get below 32 degrees so now I'm wondering if this wonderful shrub that the birds love is going to work for me. Anyone know?

I'm not growing Blue Muffin, but I don't think that's true. What I find written about it is, that birds will often strip the berries on their Fall migration - they don't wait for winter.

With the other types viburnum in my garden, I couldn't collect a seed if my life depended on it :) The chickadees are busy enjoying them as they ripen and leave none to harvest.

Thank you morz8. I hope to get the Blue Muffin's "partner" planted next month.My yard is not huge so I just don't want to plant something that's not going to draw the birds in.
