I'm in southwest Ohio and this weed is new to my yard this year. It spreads by rhizomes/stolons and laughed at a recent application of Weed-B-Gone. It's not ground ivy because I know I have that elsewhere. It comes out by hand rather well if it's tighly clustered and relatively large. The right third of the image is an inset that shows the leaves a little better. Because of the dirt, the weed was scanned through plastic wrap.
