Another squirrel related question. A friend set up a feeder that hang off the rafters, but she gave up when squirrel kept running along the window sill and then bash the feeder to release the seeds.

My suggestion to her was to lay some thorn bushes along the window sill so they can't run across it, but I am wondering if this will accidentally hurt the squirrels?
