Is the "hair" a fungal growth maybe? JIP seeds are red until they are cleaned and then they are whitish balls...like small pearls.

It doesnt look like any fungal growth i have ever seen. it looks like it has been wrapped in a very soft and long dog hair of sorts. like i said, i can take the hair off as it comes off very easy. its not stuck on the seed its self.
