A lovely plant. Why not try them? Years ago, I planted something called hardy gladioli. It turned out to be some kind of hardy lily with a leaf like a glad, and a flower something like a candy lily. I was pleased with it, and it came up every year without fail. I suspect this egret will be med tall and very slender. If it takes up valuable space, well, forget it. But if you have the room, I think you should go for the egret.

WOW, That flower is beautiful. I would try it and just put a little mulch over the bulb in the winter.

The flowers are pretty cool but I think you might be disappointed in the size. The pic makes them look MUCH bigger than they are. Why not try planting one in the garden and keeping one in a pot. Some on the Orchid forum overwinter their's in a baggie in moss, in the refrigerator.
