Hmong Beans?
Was at the Hmong Food store today in Wausau, WI. Was going to pick up some Rice, when I seen a Box with garden seeds that were in clear Sandwich bags. was an older Hmong lady there selling her garden seeds, she had mini corn Cobs, pole bean seeds, bitter fruit & other seeds I never seen before. I bought large bag of her pole bean seeds for $2.50 She didn't tell me much about them, said the beans get 7" or so. weird thing is that all the beans in the bag are differnt colors, so not shure what kind of pole beans they are.........some are white, some are solid tan, some dark with tan blotches & some have really sharp edges, never seen beans with sharp type edges.........anyways I'm , going to try growing some & see what they come up as.............. anyone out there every grow Hmong type beans? Not shure if these are types of hybrid beans or just a mix of different bean types.
