Planting Castor beans in zone 4

I would like to grow castor beans this year to use the leaves for cement leaf casting projects. I started some of the seeds inside but overwatered and they died. Can I start the seeds outdoors afer the danger of frost? Maybe the first week of June? Will they have enough time to get large enough to use for cememnt casts? Also is there any chance they will grow in a large pot??
